WPT Deepstacks off to Portugal!

WPTDeepStacks is heading to Portugal for its next stop – and the spectacular golf haven of Vilamoura. WPTDeepStacks Portugal runs September 1-9 at Casino Vilamoura.

The festival takes place September 1-9 with the €200,000 guaranteed Main Event starting September 6 with a €1,100 buy-in. The schedule also includes a €2,000 High Roller and €135+€135+€30 NLH Bounty, €300 NL Turbo and €200 Survivor tourney.

 

This season’s WPTDeepStacks Portugal Main Event kicks off Thursday, September 6, and has three starting flights. The first takes place on September 6, then the next two take place on September 7, with one at 2 p.m. local time and the other at 10 p.m. The 10 p.m. flight will be played as a fast-chance format with 20-minute levels. Registration is open until the start of Level 10, and players are allowed one reentry per starting day.

 

The WPTDeepStacks Portugal festival will use the big blind ante format in all events, starting with the €350 buy-in WPTDeepStacks No-Limit Hold’em Opener on September 1. The three-day opening event combines an affordable buy-in with a player-friendly structure, as players begin with 20,000 in chips and play 30-minute levels to start before the levels increase to 40 minutes on Day 2.

 

Another fixture on the WPTDeepStacks Portugal schedule is the €2,000 High Roller. This two-day event starts Wednesday, September 5, and features 40,000 in starting chips and 40-minute levels for Day 1. On Day 2, the levels increase to 60 minutes.

 

This is WPTDeepstacks’ second visit to Vilamoura. Last year, the debut €1,100 Main Event attracted a field of 250 entries – surpassing the €200k guarantee – and awarding champion Francisco Lopes a first prize of €57,010. Vilamoura is a must-visit destination for golf players, located close to numerous championship courses, as well as beautiful white sand beaches stretching for miles along the coast.

Casino Vilamoura is also just a few minutes from Marina Vilamoura, where visitors can find a great shopping centre with a vast selection of stores, bars, and restaurants, plus a vibrant lounge path full of life and amusement.

 

Following Portugal, it’s off to Morocco for WPTDeepStacks Marrakech. Held at the famous Moroccan city resort of Casino de Marrakech, the WPTDeepStacks Marrakesh festival runs September 27-30.
